In all my years I have never loved a samurai anime as much as Rurouni Kenshin. Although there is no clear distinction as to the story line and how true to the manga and the anime the movie will hold, the movie is scheduled to be released August 25 2012. The movie is posted on IMDB.com as a drama with the actor Takeru Sato stepping into the big shoes of the hero Kenshin Himura aka "The Battousai" or man slayer.
A blood thirsty war hero turned philosophical protector, with a neak for trouble and a god of death like split personality, running from his past.
Munetaka Aoki as Sanosuke Sagara and Emi Takei as Kaoru Kamiya. I am not familiar with the talent but the movie is a Japanese release and i do hope that it is for the best. The American depiction of some of my favorite animes as live action has been for lack of a better word disappointing.
I am very excited to see this film see the light of day but so very nervous that my excitement maybe misplaced. the trailer bellow is quick and action packed so it makes it difficult to predict the out come of the production so keep your fingers crossed, and enjoy!
