One of our newest conventions, Anime-ZAP!, has decided to change location and date. One week earlier the convention will be held at the Four Points Hotel in Downtown Peoria, IL from January 7-8, 2012.
“Our previous hotel space is being closed for renovations through all of 2012,” said organizer Ryan Kopf. “We want attendees to be right by the action, so we’ve had to find a new hotel.”
They will still offer the same events: a cosplay masquerade, late night rave, formal ball, video game tourney, workshops and a whole bunch of panels as well as anime screenings, a boffer battlefield, collectible card gaming, a comedy standup workshop, Dante’s Fabulous Date Auction, a hall cosplay contest, lolita fashion, cosplayphotoshoots, and more!
If you haven’t heard of Anime-ZAP!, it is a fairly new convention, only been up for two years (this is its third),it was started immediately after Pokettokon was cancelled in 2010 and had 400+ attendees last year.
